March 23: Dancing for a Cause: A Night of Hi-hats, Heels, and Helping the Arts.  Join Jubilee Arts for the first annual dance gala & fundraiser on Friday, March 23 at the luxurious 1840's Plaza in Downtown Baltimore. CLICK HERE for more information.

2011:

August 13: 1-6pm: Hip Hop - Getting Back to the HeART
Jubilee Arts, in partnership with the Black Male Identity (BMI) Project (morethan28days.com) will hosts “Hip Hop: Getting Back to the HeART” to examine and celebrate the power of hip hop music to shape views on black masculinity. 

July 23: Jazz clinic (4pm) and concert (8pm)
An opportunity in partnership with Contemporary Arts Inc. for students and adults to learn about jazz in a free clinic with the Todd Marcus Jazz Orchestra. Participants are encouraged to bring their instruments and will learn about and perform jazz with members of the Todd Marcus Jazz Orchestra which includes brass and woodwind instruments, piano, bass, and drums. The clinic will also offer information on pursuing a career as a professional musician. The clinic is FREE and the concert is only $10.  For concert tickets CLICK HERE.

July 10, 3-4pm: Leroy Smith recital
"Oh Freedom" - a musical tribute to those who fought for freedom by Jubilee Arts instructor and Sandtown community resident Leroy Smith.  Will include several musical

June 9, 7-9pm: Reviving the Avenue Arts Legacy art sale and fundraiser to benefit Jubilee Arts
Help keep Jubilee Arts up and running by supporting our 2nd annual art fundraiser.  The evening will feature works for sale by Baltimore artists Matthew Rice, Renee Lewis, and Iranian artist Afasaneh Faridi as well as ceramic art by Baltimore Clayworks.  For tickets CLICK HERE or to sponsor the event CLICK HERE.

June 4, noon-4pm: Community Arts Fair
The 2nd Annual free event including art activities, face painting, live music, a moon bounce, and food.  Held outdoors on Pennsylvania Avenue next to The Harris-Marcus Center.

April 18, 7:30-9pm: A Chance to Own the Mic
Open Mic event in celebration of National Poetry Month, featuring performances by Jubilee Arts creative writing participants.

March 12, 1-3pm: End of Term Celebration
You're invited to celebrate the end of our Winter Term on Saturday, March 12 from 1pm to 3pm. Come enjoy performances by our dance, drum and creative writing class participants and presentations from our visual arts and ceramics classes. There will be food and fun for all!

January 22, 3-4pm: Healing Art: Art That Heals the Soul
An exhibit by Iranian born artist Afsaneh Faridi which translated on canvas the messages of love, hope, peace, harmony, and perseverance.  CLICK HERE here for more information.  Includes discussion and greeting by the artist.

2010:

December 4, 1-3pm
End of fall term display and demonstrations.  Come see works created by Jubilee Arts participants in the fall classes.  Event is free and refreshment are provided.
