June 6: A special jazz viewing session will be offered by the Baltimore Jazz Alliance which will show a live broadcast of a New York concert. The performance will be led by Wynton Marsalis playing the music of Duke Ellington. Jubilee Arts will be the only location in Baltimore showing this broadcast! May 17: Coming up on May 17 from 1-4pm is our art fair at the 7th Annual No Boundaries Block Party at Pennsylvania Avenue and Presstman Street. The outdoor event will include art making, demonstrations, dancing, food, and live music at the intersection of Pennsylvania Avenue and Presstman Street from 1-4pm. CLICK HERE for more.

New staff at Jubilee Arts! This fall we are welcoming Nora Howell as the new Program Director at Jubilee Arts! She is an artist from our Sandtown-Winchester community with a passion for our neighborhood and the arts. We also are excited to have artist Emily Bluck join us from MICA to work with us for the year under the Community Arts Collaborative program. Special thanks as well to outgoing director Mariska Jordan Lee for her years of love and service to the program!

November 15, 6-9pm: Jubilee Arts will hold its 3rd Annual Arts Fundraiser featuring the work of artist Loring Cornish at his 1622 Thames Street gallery in Baltimore's Fells Point neighborhood. Jubilee Arts, in partnership with the Black Male Identity (BMI) Project (morethan28days.com) will hosts “Hip Hop: Getting Back to the HeART” to examine and celebrate the power of hip hop music to shape views on black masculinity.

An opportunity in partnership with Contemporary Arts Inc. for students and adults to learn about jazz in a free clinic with the Todd Marcus Jazz Orchestra. Participants are encouraged to bring their instruments and will learn about and perform jazz with members of the Todd Marcus Jazz Orchestra which includes brass and woodwind instruments, piano, bass, and drums. The clinic will also offer information on pursuing a career as a professional musician. The clinic is FREE and the concert is only $10. For concert tickets CLICK HERE.
